'Kalkals (Pendipirith / Cheeda) an Anglo-Indian snack Recipe: Ingredients to mix:- 1. Rice Flour (Idiyappam podi) – 3 glass 2. Coconut milk – 4 glass 3. Egg – 1 4. Salt – 2 tsp 5. Sesame – 1 tbsp 6. Coconut oil / Sunflower oil Preparation: 1. Boil Coconut milk adding salt to it. 2. Beat an egg and keep it aside. 3. Mix the Rice flour using boiled coconut milk, beated egg, sesame as we prepare idiyappam . 4. Now shape the mix and fry it either in coconut oil / sunflower oil. For sugar coating: Heat sufficient sugar with little water make it thicken and mix the fried kalkals to it. Now our Anglo-Indian special snack is ready.
